Dr.Samantha PeilingYang Singapore

Dr.Samantha PeilingYang
Dr Yang obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore and received her Endocrinology training at the National University Hospital, Singapore, followed by a thyroid cancer fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, where she was involved in clinical research in thyroid cancer. Through the pursuit of translational research, she aims to utilize personalized medicine in the clinical care of patients with cytologically-indeterminate thyroid nodules and RAI-refractory thyroid cancers. She has validated the ThyroSeq test performance in Singapore and also showed that the molecular test was a stronger predictor of malignancy than clinical parameters. She is studying regulatory mechanisms of sodium-iodide symporter in thyroid cancers with the aim of using therapeutics to optimize RAI uptake. She is the principal investigator for a re-differentiation therapy clinical trial in RAI-refractory metastatic thyroid cancer patients.
