Dr Luqman is a consultant endocrinologist at the Regency Specialist Hospital (RSH), and a visiting consultant at the Universiti Malaya Medical Center (UMMC). His main clinical area of expertise is on the management of type 1 diabetes, diabetes technologies, as well as type 2 diabetes and general endocrinology. He is currently the head of Diabetes Care Unit in RSH and runs the type 1 diabetes Transition Clinic in UMMC.
Dr Luqman is a council member of the Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society (MEMS), Malaysian Osteoporosis Society (MOS), and a member of the Malaysian Diabetes Educators' Society (MDES) and Malaysian Obesity Society (MyOS).
