Subsequently, the AOCE was held every four years until the 16th Congress in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2018. Subsequently, AOCE shifted to a biennial schedule, with the 17th AOCE scheduled for Seoul, South Korea in 2020. However, the 18th AOCE was inevitably held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now is an opportune moment to reflect on AOCE's history and move forward toward future development.
