Prof.KoutaroYokote Japan

Dr. Koutaro Yokote, MD (Chiba University), PhD (Uppsala University), and MBA (Keio University), is President of Chiba University and former President of the Japan Society for the Study of Obesity. He serves as a board member of major academic societies, including the Japan Endocrine Society, the Japan Atherosclerosis Society, and the Japan Geriatrics Society. He has played a key role in formulating over 30 Japanese clinical practice guidelines, including those for dyslipidemia, diabetes and obesity. Dr. Yokote has authored more than 400 peer-reviewed English publications, including papers in top-tier international journals such as New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, Nature, Nature Communications, and Aging Cell.
